Know exactly what your sprint costs.
No timesheets required.
SprintLedger is a Jira app that makes sprint costs visible in real time. Role-based rates, budget tracking, cost-per-point, and CSV export. Five minutes from install to your first sprint cost number.
Free for teams up to 10 users. No credit card required.
How much did your last sprint cost?
If you cannot answer that question in under ten seconds, you are not alone. Jira tracks tasks, story points, and velocity, but it has zero native financial tracking. Teams maintain parallel spreadsheets, buy expensive multi-app ecosystems, or fly blind on costs. SprintLedger closes that gap.
Average cost of a US scrum team per two-week sprint
Hidden process waste that goes unnoticed without cost tracking
Weekly time spent reconciling Jira data with budget spreadsheets
Everything you need for sprint cost visibility
Built on Atlassian Forge. Your data stays in Atlassian's cloud. No external servers, no additional security review.
Sprint Cost Calculation
Automatically calculate the total cost of any sprint using story points, time tracking data, and configurable hourly rates. One click to answer: how much did this sprint cost?
Role-Based Hourly Rates
Configure rates by role (Engineer, Designer, QA, PM) or set custom rates for individual team members. Set once, persist across every sprint.
Budget Tracking with Alerts
Set a budget per sprint and watch the progress bar move. Get warned at 80% and alerted at 100% so you never blow a sprint budget again.
Cost-Per-Story-Point
Automatically calculate the cost per story point for each sprint. Track this metric over time to measure efficiency and forecast future costs.
No Mandatory Time Logging
Works with story points and role-based rates alone. When developers log time, SprintLedger uses it for higher accuracy. But it never forces time tracking on your team.
Team and Role Breakdowns
See exactly how sprint cost distributes across your team. Break down by individual contributor or by role to understand where your budget goes.
CSV Export
Download sprint cost data for stakeholders, finance, or client invoicing. Import into Excel, Google Sheets, or your accounting software.

Frequently asked questions
Does SprintLedger require my developers to log time?
No. SprintLedger calculates costs from story points and configurable hourly rates. If your team does log time in Jira, SprintLedger uses that data automatically for more precise calculations. But time logging is never required.
How does SprintLedger calculate sprint cost?
SprintLedger multiplies each assignee's hourly rate by the hours associated with their sprint work. Hours come from logged time when available, or from story points multiplied by your configured hours-per-point ratio. Costs are summed per sprint and broken down by team member and role.
Can I set different rates for different team members?
Yes. You can set rates per role (Engineer, Designer, QA, PM, Other) and override at the individual level on the Standard and Professional plans. Rates persist in Forge Storage so you only configure them once.
Is my financial data secure?
SprintLedger runs on Forge, which means all data processing happens within Atlassian's cloud infrastructure. Rate configurations are stored in Forge Storage with tenant isolation. No data leaves the Atlassian environment.
What happens when my team grows past 10 users?
SprintLedger is free for teams of 1 to 10 users. Beyond 10 users, standard per-user pricing applies. There is a 30-day free trial for paid tiers so you can evaluate before committing.
How is SprintLedger different from Tempo?
Tempo requires two separate apps (Timesheets plus Financial Manager) and mandatory time logging by every team member. SprintLedger is a single app that calculates sprint costs from story points without requiring time logging. It is simpler, lighter, and significantly less expensive.
Does SprintLedger work with Kanban boards?
SprintLedger is designed for Scrum boards with sprints. Kanban support is on the roadmap.
Can I export sprint cost data?
Yes. SprintLedger includes CSV export for sharing cost data with stakeholders, importing into accounting software, or building custom reports.
