Frequently Asked Questions

How do I install SprintLedger?

Visit the Atlassian Marketplace, search for SprintLedger, and click Install. Select the Jira site you want to install it on and confirm. SprintLedger will appear as a panel on your sprint boards and as a project page.

How do I configure hourly rates?

Open SprintLedger from your Jira project, then go to Settings. You can set a default hourly rate for the project and override it per team member. Rates are stored securely in Forge Storage within Atlassian's infrastructure.

What is included in the free tier vs Standard?

The free tier includes basic sprint cost tracking with a default hourly rate and cost summaries. The Standard tier adds per-member rate configuration, budget targets with alerts, historical sprint comparison, and CSV export.

How is cost calculated?

SprintLedger calculates cost by multiplying each assignee's hourly rate by the time spent on their issues. You can configure whether time is derived from Jira's time tracking fields, story points (with a configurable hours-per-point ratio), or manual estimates.

How do I export data?

On the Standard tier, open the sprint summary view and click Export. You can export sprint cost breakdowns as CSV files for use in spreadsheets or accounting tools. All exports are generated client-side from your Jira data.

Where is my data stored?

SprintLedger runs entirely on Atlassian's Forge platform. Your configuration (rates, budgets) is stored in Forge Storage, which is managed by Atlassian. SprintLedger does not store, export, or transmit any data outside of Atlassian's infrastructure.
